Henna Body Art
Henna is a brown stain on the skin lasting 1-3 weeks. Henna fades as the skin exfoliates. Henna paste is applied and stays wet for about 30 minutes. After about 5 hours, the paste is scraped off and a stain is left behind. After the paste is removed, the design cannot be gotten wet for 12-24 hours. Henna starts off orange and darkens to brown over the next 48 hours. Henna is darkest on the hands and feet and lightest on the torso. Henna is generally not applied to children under 6 years old. Professional Body Paint
Full color or black body paint lasts 4-10 days and is waterproof. This paint is perfect for smaller applications like fake tattoo creation. This is not the washable paint that face painters use. The paint is set with baby powder and dries instantly. Paint can be removed with rubbing alcohol. Click here for gallery.
Washable Body Paint
Washable body paint generally lasts one day or until you bathe. This paint is the type face painters use. It is not waterproof. Can be removed with soap and water. This type of paint is good for extremely temporary designs and/or large scale application. Great for photo shoots.
Glitter or Black Temporary Tattoos
Glitter tattoos are waterproof and last 2-5 days. An acrylic medical adhesive is applied freehand for custom designs or using a stencil for small quick tattoos. Cosmetic glitter or black mica powder is then applied. Glitter tattoos are perfect for younger children and pool parties.
