What is henna?
Henna is a plant that contains a natural dye in the leaves. Henna can be used to stain skin, hair and nails as well as other objects like wood and cloth. Henna body art is a reddish brown stain on the skin. Henna paste, made with the leaves of the henna plant, is applied to the skin and when the paste is removed, a stain is left behind.

What ingredients are in our paste?
We only use 100% natural ingredients in our homemade paste. There are no inks or chemicals, only henna leaves, lemon juice, sugar and cajeput essential oil.

Does henna come in colors?
No. Henna is always brown to reddish brown. Any other advertised "colors" like black or white are not henna. "Black henna" is most often a dangerous chemical paste made with para-phenylenediamine (PPD). Please click here for further info on "black henna. "White henna" is either body paint, pigmented adhesive or temporary flash tattoos. Click here for all services offered.

How long does henna body art last?
Henna lasts 1-2 weeks generally. Henna is dark for 7-10 days, then slowly fades away as your skin exfoliates. Excessive sweating, soaking, chlorine and friction from clothing make henna stains fade much faster. Keeping the area moisturized with natural oils and butters help prolong the stain.
